Rita's offers paid internships and co-op positions to college students in certain areas of our business. You must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Each intern is assigned to a Department. The work performed is to support the assigned department with various projects. Must work well in a team, must be great at following directions, and must have a sincere interest in a learning experience. All applicants must be enrolled in a college program. Rita's treat team experience a definite plus! A qualified intern must be proficient with Word and Excel. If interested, please submit a cover letter and resume. The letter must contain exact information about your available schedule and major.
Review and/or draft vendor contracts, license agreements and similar contracts.
Maintain databases including contract database to keep track of important dates, deadlines, etc.
Draft correspondence including cease and desist letters, notices of default, notices of termination and ability to follow up on any cure periods or deadline dates.
Draft Promissory Notes and search and file UCC 1 financing statements.
Review and/or draft outside vendor contracts and/or any like agreements.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
2 to 3 years of legal experience, preferably a paralegal certificate from ABA approved school
Knowledge of legal contract terminology
Knowledge of franchise disclosure laws preferred, but not required
Detail oriented and highly organized
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Physical Demands:
Required to travel up to >10% of the work schedule.
